Kindergallery is pleased to offer three beautiful screenprinted collages by Ana Ventura. Ana’s work evocatively combine modern decorative and design elements with figures which, in their composition and facial expressions, are reminiscent of medieval Byzantine art. The results are exquisite. Ana assembles the screenprints using an acid-free glue, and finishes the works with a wooden frame.

Winter’s cosy cold is approaching, which means that migrating season is upon us!
This is an exciting time for Kindergallery. Last month, we were especially
honoured by the new arrival of a flock of exquisite creatures, at the end of a long journey south from Tamar Mogendorff’s stitchworks in New York City. Soon they will be joined by a gorgeous Tamar stork and an equally beautiful peacock, now available for pre-order. Like the rest of the Tamar range, these dolls are hand-stitched from linens, mohair wool, cotton, tweed, pashmina and other fabrics. As hangings, wall mountings or room sculptures, they provide unique decorating possibilities, radiating extraordinary emotional power.
This is also the time of year when Kindergallery sets out to search for the latest artistic creations for children from around the world. Selected
representatives of our herd will be travelling north to Berlin’s warmer continental climate to forage for aesthetic nourishment. We look forward to
their return and will be sure to pass on to you the special treats they bring back.

Farewell 2007 and welcome 2008!
This is an opportune time to congratulate Kristin Loffer Theiss on receiving a top ranking for her Flights of Fantasy mobiles in "Mother and Baby" Magazines 'Best Toys of 2007'. The limited edition hand-made mobiles consist of a parade of four cheeky, joyful bird characters made
from wool felt and cotton in vibrant colours or black and white.
Also, Lorena Siminovich's collages were featured in the Melbourne Age's
top 10 designs for children in 2007. Well done Lorena! The works combine
simple yet intricate designs made from vintage papers against the tactile, natural background of maple plywood.
