Kristin Loffer Theiss
Kristin Loffer Theiss was born on Earth but prefers to inhabit a different world, called “Planet Dot”. Located in an alternative dimension somewhere in the Northwest of the U.S.A, Planet Dot is the place Kristin goes to allow her artistic thoughts to metamorphose into gorgeous creatures and take flight.
Kristin has brought back from Planet Dot, exclusively to Kindergallery, her hand made "Flights of Fantasy", "Crawling Critters" and “Coy Kitties” mobiles. The mobiles consist of a parade of four delightful characters made from wool felt and cotton in vibrant colours. Each figure is between 15 and 19 cm and is made by hand with free motion sewing. A wooden egg or cube holds everything together and is topped with a tiny eyehook and a small card holding plenty of extra cord to hang the mobile from your ceiling. "Flights of Fantasy" features four cheeky, joyful birds in flight - Ollie the Dotted Owl, Dewey Long Legs, Peanut Blu and Tiptoe Sweeney. In "Crawling Critters", Lou the Snail cruises around with his mates Steve the Centipede, Ziggy the Spider, and Willie the Worm.
