Ana Ventura
Ana Ventura is an artist and illustrator living in Lisbon, Portugal. She graduated in painting from the University of Lisbon faculty of fine arts in 2000, with a major in engraving. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows since 1996, and is represented in private collections in Portugal and abroad. She is also an illustrator of children’s and other books.
Kindergallery exclusively offers three beautiful screenprinted collages by Ana Ventura. Ana’s work evocatively combine modern decorative and design elements with figures which, in their composition and facial expressions, are reminiscent of medieval Byzantine art. The results are exquisite. Ana assembles the screenprints using [material] and acid-free glue, and finishes the works with a wooden frame.
